As you guys are considering a change in sign-out, you might want to consider a rule that accommodates overnight AND local hunters. Was in a club near your's once where members from out of town (staying in RV's) would wake up early, sign out their preferred area, and then go back to bed for a few hours. It was not uncommon for me (a local guy) to arrive at the sign-out board at a "normal time" and every spot on the place taken for certain winds. If I wanted to get a spot that was halfway popular, I had to get there at 4 a.m. that year. IMO, the system was stacked to help the "overnight members"... with the club leadership all fitting into that description.

A fair system for clubs having a mix is a draw at a specified time each morning. Make it at a specified time - NOT rigged to aid the guys staying in campers. If all of the members were out-of-towners or if all were local guys, there likely wouldn't be a need... it was a primary reason for leaving the aforementioned club.
