Ok. Everyone agrees on that. However, Mobile AL reaches 12 hours of day length on March 16th this year and Bangor Maine reaches 12 hours of day length on March 17th. So, like I mentioned before, photoperiod is clearly just one factor involved. What are the other factors? Cause I’m pretty sure there’s a huge difference in turkey breeding activity from south AL to Maine. So there’s clearly other factors involved. Those two locations reach that “minimum” essentially at the same time. But warm weather and greenup are what, two months apart? I suppose it’s redneck pseudoscience, but greenup looks to be a pretty good guide.
