Your back shoulder is the one that has to be steady to make that shot. Certain chairs will allow you to sit sideways in them and prop your back shoulder on the top of the chair. I can get rock solid like that in most of my long lanes. A few of my shooting houses allow me to rest my back shoulder on a window ledge also. Just a front rest only won’t be steady enough for a 4-500 yard shot imo.
