Ground is ready , I'm not. Might plant next week.
Why people plant so early mystifies me. You run the risk of losing it to dry spell and your fertilizer runs it's course before season even opens. 3rd to 4th week of September for bow plots , first couple weeks of October for gun plots works mighty well in NA. Then side dress them early December with 100 - 150 lbs per acre of 34-0-0.
