Cheap steak was $16 a pound here at Publix a few days ago. I ain't paying $16 a pound for ribeye. My stopping point is probably $12 a pound. If everyone would quit buying at a certain price, we could control the prices. This is why trucks are 60k. My stopping point is probably 30k or less for a vehicle. It's non sense. I agree 100%. In a capitalist economy, the consumer sets the price. If the consumer is not buying steaks at $16, Piggly Wiggly is not going to continue to put them on the shelf... they will lower the price or quit buying from the package plants. Then the package plants start lowering the price... but it all starts with the consumer.
