doe at 366 yards across what used to be a cornfield right at dark in a light rain on Christmas eve in choctaw county

Laid in the prone position on the ground and placed the crosshairs at the top of her shoulder

Hit her about 10" low and shattered both of her front legs. She drove with her hind legs with her chin on the ground out of the field and into a small creek with real steep sides.

I didn't find any blood in the field but I did see skid marks in the dirt where she bulldozed her way out of there on her chin/chest...as I got into the tree line I could hear her thrashing around in the water moaning in pain.

I had to climb down in the creek and finish her off. It was brutal and unfair to the animal and made me sick at my stomach. I haven't taken a shot like that since then and won't ever again.
