335 yards on a trotting buck. Squeezed off just as soon as his chest hit the crosshairs. Dropped right there. .270 Browning You would have missed if the buck's chest was in your crosshairs. In the roughly 1/3 second the bullet needs to travel 335 yards, a deer trotting at 10 MPH will move about 5 feet. I shot one running full speed across a pasture bout 100 yards he made it to the end n fell I clipped his neck, I was aiming towards the front n hoping lol u gotta be swinging the gun at running deer or get lucky...mainly lucky but I don't try that often
