125-150 yards through open hardwoods on Choccolocco WMA. Was walking in to hang a stand and shot a doe with my climber still on my back. Was pretty far back in there, shot her at 4 and didn’t get her out until around 7:30 that night. Learned a good lesson that day. If you are going to kill one for meat, either shoot them close to the road or shoot one that isn’t the biggest in the group.

Most everywhere I hunt, a shot over 100 yards is impossible. Heck I’ve never even shot past 100 at a range. Some of the above replies are downright impressive.
