Why cedars??? Would the area sw of Tuscaloosa on 20/59 have similar soil characteristics? There sva crap load of cedars in that area. Pines need mycorrhizae to grow well and the prairie soils do not support this fungus very well. They also need soil that has a pH of less than 7 - rare in true plackbelt prairie dirt.
