Last Saturday I went to a friend's place between Alabaster and Columbiana. Arrived early to set up...saw very few flying. There were appx 15 shooters at the field. I saw maybe 10 doves that crossed the field all day but none came my way. I stayed until 6PM and packed up after not shooting anything. The doves were just not there this past weekend. No one killed anything.
This coming Sunday I am planning on going back to the friend's place outside of Oneonta that I went on opening day. He was up there first of the week just to scout, not hunt and reported there were over 200 in the millet and sunflowers. I hope they stick around until this weekend
