Fired two hundred rounds of my .380 reloads yesterday. Three guns. Had two rounds fail to eject. Load was a 90g fmj with 1.8g of Red Dot. .380 has been a pain to get to work right. Has either been too hot or too low powered. Handguns used were a Russian Makarov, Mauser HSC, and an Astra 300. The Makarov would handle any load but occasionally I'd blow out a case head and lots of the brass had bulges. So I'd back the load down and it wouldn't cycle. And even that load was too hot for the other guns. Gave up on the MP65 powder and went to the Red Dot. The two fail to eject were with the Makarov and it has the strongest recoil spring of the tree. The Mauser HSC - like most German guns - is picky with ammo. As with the Astra it did very well. Small successes can be enjoyable. Next project is .32 acp.
