I plant a new round of tomatoes 4th of July weekend every year. I break off suckers in early June and root them in water in our kitchen. I put 6 new ones in the ground 2 weeks ago or so. They'll start making in early September and I'll have big tomatoes coming in on those while my early ones are petering out.

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
