He looks to be 4? If so he’s the same age as Stephen was when we got the boy’s. Worked out great as they were tearing it up when he was 6 and we’ve killed a pile off them since and they’re 10 now. He will be four next month. That was my plan. To have him trained by the time my son is old enough to really start hunting Sounds like you have it right. Just start spending as much time as possible with him to get him where he needs to be. Only thing that sucks is as they (kids) get older we tend to lean more to the deer. My dogs would have been something special if I hadn’t let them sit while we deer hunted more and more. That’s the good thing about having plenty of pecan trees around the farm. I can keep him in squirrels without having to bother any deer hunters.
