A no-till drill is the best piece of equipment a food ploter can have in my opinion. I have a 10ft John Deere 1590 its over killer but I love it for what I do it and that everything. I've had a Great plains and a Tye drill and moved up to the 1590. I think that Great plains or land pride both are basically the same are probably the best drills for deer managers and are more likely to be found used. The problem with a drill like my 1590 is finding a small one cause most are 15ft or larger and wore out. You could buy 3 GP or LP drills for the price of a new 10ft 1590 and do basically the same thing. All that being said if you can afford one the JD 1590 is the best drill money can buy for several reasons. Any brand no-till drill is better then not having one
