I have an honest suggestion that I believe would double the state’s turkey population in 5 years or less. The state should take that corn license money and fund a program to offer a 5 dollar bounty on coon and possum tails. Don’t know if that would do anything for turkeys, but the roads would sure be clearer of splattered carcasses. Of course, possum farms might start popping up. And then too, people would be smuggling tails in from other states. Can’t see why if wouldn’t work... Well, I never considered them possum farmers and tail smugglers.
