Karma is a bitch. And it’ll get you sooner or later. That wasn't the country of Lebanon. It was Islamic Jihad backed by Hezbollah and Iran. 58 French military personnel there with us were also lost. Last I saw 2750 tons of ammonia nitrate that was being stored at the port after being seized. That would do it. Also explains the orange cloud of NO2 which may be more toxic than the detonation. Poor or no mixture with a liquid fuel or oil source causes a heavy concentration of it as a direct product of the detonation process, is produced in the after burning reactions and by the secondary oxidation of NO to NO2 as the cloud mixes with air. The orange coloration is caused by the presence of NO2 once it fully oxidizes. No whistling, no multicolored effects, no 100yard launches and report. That looks like ordinance cooking off. Yeah, there may have been fireworks in there.....and they may even be responsible for the initial fire......but that big explosion was not simply the detonation of a bunch of fireworks. I heard the same as mentioned above - 2750 TONS of ammonium nitrate. For perspective, the OKC bombing was 2 tons... Fireworks don't detonate. They are a fast burn much like gunpowder or gasoline vapors.
