Just in my experience on an unplanted clear cut, at about year 6 o 7 it becomes impossible to use a tractor and big bush hog to clear anything. Hardwoods have gotten big enough in areas to make it impossible. Pine trees aren't the issue.

Add 7 years onto that, which is where you are at, and you are going to need a good size dozer and someone who knows what they are doing to get the job done for a fair price. Probably too big for a skid steer and mulcher at this point. Just a guess, but your probably looking at 2 grand absolute minimum.
