These are this years seed he said. Most are usually last years seed but I have had no problems using seed 2-3 years old when stored properly. Even if stored properly, the germination % will drop with age. I agree that 2-4 yr old seed can be planted and will most definitely yield a crop, you'll just have to increase your seeding rate per acre to account for the loss in germination.
