Architects LOVE to overdraw and call for all kinds of specialty cosmetic and "look" details that really inflate projects. They get paid a % so it makes sense why they do.
So then it goes to the VE stage....where the architects redraw and rework the plan....for a fee schedule...cutting out things that should have never been in there to start and get paid to subtract. So that makes sense too.
After VE process "slashes" the budget, time passes, so prices go up and then architects tease with adding back this and that....redraw, additional fees...to then add back to the VE after they just subtracted from the original.
All about the fee.
