I think that regardless of the law or actual circumstances of the encounter, the two white guys will be convicted. They have to be in order to keep the riots at bay.
I think that is why the Feds are trying to justify hate crime charges. There is zero evidence that I have seen that this was a racially motivated killing other than the deceased is a different race than the shooter. That is not proof of a racial motivation. If we are going to make that proof of a hate crime, then every single crime involving persons of different races MUST be prosecuted as a hate crime. No exceptions. No double standards.
