Figured I would resurrect this thread because it's got some good info and I enjoyed reading through it. I haven't had chickens since I was a kid but we started our flock this past weekend. Got a dozen bovan brown pullets from Tractor Supply to get started with. I'll probably go back eventually and get a dozen straight run game chicks to run around the yard. The baby loves her "ducks" already
