I would suggest he do two years at a community college and then transfer to a 4year.

Student loan debt is financially strangling a lot of young adults.
my student loans in 1990 were %11

But weren't mortgage interest rates pretty sky high around then also?

My student loans are pretty much equivalent to what my mortgage is.
Student loans were acquired in 2014 and paid in full come February 2018.

Prime was 10.0% in 1990

Then ya, 11% for the student loans in 1990 makes a lot more sense.
11% in 2020 for student loans doesn't make any sense, mortgage rates are near historic lows right now. Though maybe there's something I'm not thinking of or considering.

I just know for a fact my student loans were 3.X-4.X%.
