the wingspan is quite impressive that close up!! we've got them in the vicinity of camp and have had to pack up mid-hunt a few times when they'd come use the hole we were hunting in to devour a snow goose...feathers from one end to the other and not a duck is gonna sit on the water with them there, either....GONE!! Watched one trying to catch coots while duck hunting in central Florida this weekend. Actually helped us kill some ducks. Flushed them out of the raft of coots that were out of shooting range.
