I finally killed one with my Colt Walker replica. Right at last light with open sights I had two nanny’s come out of a thicket at 46 yards.
I popped the biggest one in the shoulder with a .44 roundball. When the smoke cleared she’d gone about 20 ft. Center punched both shoulders. I was impressed with the damage to say the least. Probably one of my coolest hunts, I’ve never killed anything with black powder before and I figure its probably been awhile since a colt walker has killed anything.
