Lets get real here! I know of 3 types of hunters! The meat hunter, the trophy hunter, and the brown its down hunter that kills anything they see! I consider myself a meat hunter. I dont have a problem with trophy hunters as long as they dont expect me to hunt that way and vice versa. Its the brown its down crowd with no trigger control that kill fawns that I just dont get?


I know some meat hunters that prefer to take the young tender ones.

I have never ate a spotted fawn but have ate several different age class deer. I couldn't tell the difference in taste or tenderness. I think that's what people say to try and play it off so they wont get laughed at and lectured to when they get back to camp for shooting tiny deer.
