this^^^^^^^^^ is incorrect, you obliviously wern't deer hunting 30-40 years ago. Most if not all the places I hunted in the 60's to mid 80's have 1/2 to 1/4 the numbers we had then.


The population estimates over time don't reflect those numbers. 1970 estimated @ 400,000 deer. Peaked in 2000 at @ 2 Million. Current estimates are @ 1.6 Million. The distribution of the population has changed dramatically. Many places have lots of deer that had none or very few back in the 70s when I started hunting.
