If it’s a doe and I have a crystal clear broadside shot I will shoot her right behind the point of her elbow on the front shoulder so I won’t tear up meat. If it’s a bigger deer like a buck (160 lbs and up) I’m going center mass on that front shoulder. He can’t run very far if both his front shoulders are broken and he’s digging a ditch with his nose.
