I had heard most all my life that a hog would eat a dead hog
The more the hog population grows the more I've heard it so I got tired of hearing this myth/rumor
I decided to put it to the test
I killed a 100-120 lb boar and put a trail cam on it and waited several weeks before returning to the site to pull the card and see what happened over that bit of time
Had many hog pics but all just passed by without even a glimpse at the carcass
It really was a competition between coyotes and buzzards to see which could devour the hog first.
This was early spring when most food resources have dwindled away so there wasn't an abundance of acorns or much of anything else to eat
When I need expert advice I tend to talk to myself
The older I get the better I used to be
