Can you mount one on your porch and make her get out to deliver the mail? If so I would have one up this afternoon and call the post master to let them know your new drop off location. according the official/federal letter I received, the answer to that is - no. the mailbox is to be located 6-8" from the curb/road & 41"-45" high to the bottom of the box/opening to the mailbox.
