In 1975 I killed a 8 point that weighted 245 live weight and i think it was 1980 I killed a 6 point that went 235 live weight. My son was 14 when he killed an 8 point that weighted 215 in 1999. My two deer were killed during the heyday of soybeans being farmed all around Wilcox County. I now consider anything over 200 pounds exceptional deer for us eating nothing but plants and acorns in the woods.
