My uncle carried some home and ate them, he said they werent all that good. Ive ate smaller white bass and liked them.. They are my second favorite fish. I like them almost as good as crappie. I have kept some smaller white and yellow bass(less than 1lb) and cooked them with crappie, I dont know that I could tell the difference. The water was pretty warm when my uncle kept the big ones, that might have been part of it.
