The old Zeiss Conquests that had lenses made by Meopta, mechanical components made by Zeiss, MC coatings on the lenses and were being assembled in the USA were a hell of a scope for the price. There was a time you could get them for around 400 bucks. I still kick myself for not buying more of them back then.

There was a time you could buy a new one for $300. After they were discontinued, Eurooptic had a special run of these scopes made by Meopta.

These scopes had good clarity and lowlight performance and a reticle that was heavy enough to see in lowlight unlike the Leupold VX3 scopes. You had to spend at least twice as much to get more scope, which is why I think its the best value scope ever.
