Scrapes or Rubs South Alabama WTH? Yep. Usually starts towards the end of January Hall. Yeah, I understand when the rut is, but they generally start doing these activities sometime well before that. This will be my first year back hunting in AL in quite a number of years, I've been hunting in GA and you would start seeing scrapes/rubs very early in the season there, but obviously the rut is earlier there too. I actually just went and put my climber out about an hour ago and found a fresh rub and a couple of scrapes on a ridge with a bunch of acorns that I haven't been in this year until today
