The picture above is my view for this afternoons hunt. I’m more or less just hanging out in the tree. The rut is on! We are seeing bucks every climb, but my buddy just hasn’t had luck on his side. The 140” 10 point I took a picture of yesterday was just out of my friends shooting range 1 hour before I seen him. He is back after him today. Hopefully he will tag out. I’m on the same ridge but 500 yards away from him, so he has it to himself. I’m hunting deep, way deep...... I would love to see one of these Ohio giants while up a tree. This is some of the best hunting I have ever did, but you must be mad at them to hunt up here. The drag the other night was just damn right terrible. The boat has went a little under water twice, once in the front and once in the back. It creates a huge pucker factor, when it’s 8’ deep and very strong current. Especially with our equipment in the boat.


It is hard to kill or catch anything sitting on the couch!
