I’ve read all the discussions here about different cuts of beef, but the most delicious meat I’ve ever eaten is Gemsbok backstraps cooked over a Mopane fire. It’s even better if it’s a Gemsbok I’ve shot myself. I’ve hunted with the same Professional Hunter in Namibia five times, and he lets me shoot “Ration” Gemsbok to feed his workers and for camp meat, no charge. Occasionally I’ll shoot one to feed people in his church or for donation to a local Himba orphanage. I’ve eaten at all the top steakhouses in Chicago, and Gemsbok backstraps put them all to shame.


Well duh Chitcago is known for pizza 😀
