Who cares either way?
They were our best ally in the region. They lost over 10k fighting ISIS because we asked them to. And we promised them - guaranteed them - we wouldn't let Turkey come in there and curb stomp them.
Some ISIS recruits? Like 10k of them, Turkey hates the US and will release those ISIS fighters back to the front lines.
In a few years, when we go back over there on the next mess the politicians get us into, some Kurdish kid whose family got whacked because we lied to them will be planting bombs in the road and shooting at us - we'll call them terrorists and a bunch of @ssholes. This guy gets it.... first post I’ve read on here by someone who truly understands what the hell we just did
