Back in the late 70s my dad got tickets to the Grand Ol' Opry at the Opryland location. That night we saw Roy Acuff, Hank Snow, Little Jimmy Dickens, Jennie C. Riley and I think maybe Ernest Tubb. Acuff sang Wabash Cannonball and, I think, Great Speckled Bird.

Can't remember all of them, it's been so long. Solid gold.

How many of y'all have ever been driving late on a Saturday night and tuned into WSM to the Opry? I don't now, because I don't care for the music, but back in the day it was cool to be cruising along in the dark and tune in.
