Just spitballing here but reading behind the lines it must mean that RBG is pretty bad off and they are trying to get ahead of the next confirmation. She's got the pancreatic cancer and as much as I don't care for her politics that's one I don't wish upon anyone. At any rate that disease has about a 80-90% fatality rate in the first year I think. Alex Trebec has reported that his has taken a bad turn after he thought he was in the clear.
Anyways, personally I think Trump nominates Amy Barrett. They won't get her with sexual assualt etc but they will attack her religion, large family and I'm sure they will sling that racism mud at some point. I hope they ram her through and then Byer (81) retires and he appoints another. Heads will explode in that case.
