Yep, the dial is off. Probably work it around until it cuts off. I should have mentioned, nothing is stripped (at least on the outside) and turning it around and around doesn’t always do anything to the heat output. I have one that has to be kicked over to about 11 or 10 o'clock for it to turn off. That's just my situation. You would think in 2019 we wouldn't be dealing with simple things like this.
