This rut talk got me studying on well the rut in our playground off Alabama.
I live and hunt in East Central bammer and run my cameras all year round for the most part.usually we start seeing fawns in bout July however this year I been getting fawn pics as early as April up till now .
Which leads me back to my old theory that the deer mainly do a lil ruttin all season from November to February
I would assume that is part of the reason we don't hardly see a true rut like say in the midwest.and is partly because of the different deer that introduced during the restocking of deer in the 60's. on the other hand I have been lucky enough several times to be in the woods at the magic time and saw it unfold, but I would also think that even after the restocking of deer from different areas there would be enough time pass for the herd to settle itself into it's own but that ain't happened yet neither
