When I was a kid I loved Tora, Tora, Tora for the action, now though I'll have to go with Midway because it has more naval strategy in it. My dad was stationed on Destroyers when I was growing up. It wasn't until that movie that I understood their purpose was to escort the Carriers. Going on a cruise was a bad term in our household because it meant not having a father for 6 mos. to a year. I can truly say that my father was a Vietnam combat vet although truthfully all he did was stay on a ship that shot off BIG guns towards the Vietcong. Both are great, but Midway gets a slight nod. Thank you for sharing your dad for our country.
