The only deer gun is a .270 WIN.... always has been always will be. I simply cannot be convinced otherwise. There's not a more perfect deer hunting round. If you want the best .270 WIN, get a Tikka T3 Lite as mentioned above (matte stainless and synthetic stock). That is absolutely the most perfect deer hunting rifle on the planet. 308 is far superior to the 270. Just FYI 😆 Both of my previous calibers...Now I shoot a 6.5. Make fun if you want, but I like it better. I know there’s a lot of hate out there for the 6.5 creedmoor. I don’t care about the distance and accuracy stats, all my huntings done under 200 yds. And I really don’t like the name, wish they had called it the 6.5 Hornady or really anything else. But I shoot it because it feels like shooting a .243 but your sending 140 grains. Also flat enough I never have to change point of aim.
