I hunt in Georgia where it is legal to use thermal to night hunt, so I've never hunted much during the day.

We have more success using vocals than we do distress sounds. No clue what caller you are using but if you have a Foxpro try starting out with c34 (male coyote howl) for a couple howls then a pause for a minute or two...cycle through 3 or 4 series like that. Then move to c28 (female yodel howls) and play it the same way as the male howl. Then move to pup and distress and let it play continuously and cycle the volume up and down.

We will occasionally try distress but vocals seem to produce more.
