I had a 68 Mustang coupe 5 lug that had a pedal in the floorboard between the dimmer switch and the kickboard. When you pushed the pedal the windshield wipers would cycle once. I guess that must have been the first intermittent wipers. It also had a bench seat. Both the wiper pedal and the bench seat were pretty rare in an old Mustang.
