I'll offer that I had one of those Silent Rider exhaust on a 4-wheeler and it made that thing pretty quiet. Not like a golf cart quiet.... but I rode up on many many more critters after I installed it. I believe to the wildlife it just sounded like it was further away.
Seemed about the same at idle but when you were running at speed it was without a doubt much more quiet.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.
