I didn’t get to see the Sooners’ spring game tonight but the Dallas Morning News said Hurts was “better than advertised.”
This was their synopsis:
“New Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts was excellent in his debut on Owen Field. Hurts completed 11 of 14 passes for 176 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for a score. Beyond the statsheet, Hurts was accurate and looked comfortable both in and outside of the pocket.”
I expect he will be the man for OK this fall unless Lincoln Riley recruits a Hawaiian.
