The bigger issue is insurance companies just sending folks out to drive by the insured properties and just reporting on what they see instead of actually finding out if there are things under construction, being replaced, etc. Two of the things mentioned were temporary issues and the third was just an assumption that was wrong.

My personal thought is that it would be far better to actually get in touch with the property owners and make an appointment to come by and if things are not as they should be, let the owners know and give a specific amount of time to make them right and come back to check.
