7mm Rem Mag, 120 Barnes TTSX @ 3450 FPS = bang flop and covers out to 300 yds with no hold over. You should be able to push those 120s past 3500fps. I’m getting almost 3300 with the 150s. (R22, 64.5g with a COAL of 3.3385) 3300 FPS is VERY fast for 150 gr bullets in 7mm Remington mag. Do you need two hands to open the bolt. I've seen a berger 140 hit a target like a shotgun pattern. Apparently trying to push them above 3600 doesn't work well. A buddy had a good long conversation with Brian Litz about the subject. His question was, "why would anyone want to build a 300 wby improved?" A good question since a 300 Weatherby is essentially a 300 H&H magnum improved.
