it's only random if you don't know what yer doing. Yes, you can find one at some random spot...or you can find a bunch at long term village sites.
When I lived near Moundville I found dozens of points along the river, in specific spots.. Guy I hunted points with could look at a top map, pick a spot, and go find several points at that spot. What's your experience hunting points around bluff areas? Wife's family has several miles of bluff property that I plan to search out after hunting season. There are some areas that, at one time, could have been nice overhangs or shelters, but they have crumbled and fell in on themselves. South/ Southeast facing
