abolt, I get that and agree. Coaches usually do what is necessary to win.

But once you burn that kid's redshirt with only, truly, a handful of plays in the first 4-5 games, why would they not put him in more often later in the season?

I know that goes back to "doing the best thing to try to win" but if this kid is a superstud hoss RB and they're having issues at RB but don't-won't use him that seems idiotic.

Perhaps he had fumbleitis or couldn't grasp the playbook. Myriad possibilities. But it just looks weird to only play him a few plays all season, burn the redshirt on what might be a questionable or mistaken deal, and then this comes out making it sound even more like the coaches are incompetent.


I'll bet Chip Lindsey wakes up every morning now with a smile on his face to get out of that.
